High blood pressure (hypertension) is often referred to as "the silent killer," because there are usually no symptoms. Because most people don't seek treatment until they suffer organ damage as a result of high blood pressure, heart failure, strokes, kidney failure and loss of vision can be signs of high blood pressure.
